“Coronavirus is a tsunami heading towards the homes of millions of poor communities who have nothing to protect themselves from its devastating impacts”

Christine Allen, Director, CAFOD

At a recent CAFOD meeting of parish representatives in the Gloucestershire area, which took place using Zoom, Liz Baldwin outlined actions that we can take to help those suffering the effects of the pandemic much more intensely than we are in the UK.

First – Fundraise or donate to the appeal – click below and type in DONATE

or, to support Richard Sear in his ‘Cycle to Wales’ visit

Second – Sign the CAFOD petition – it could not be more easy

Third – Pray – there are lots of ideas and suggestions below

Happily we are now open for Mass at St Nicholas. Bishop Declan has given clear guidelines for the celebration of Mass in our church, all in keeping with government advice.

It is hoped that the majority of parishioners will feel able to come either to the Sunday Mass at 11am or attend a 10am Mass on Thursdays in Winchcombe. If Wednesday is a better day for you, please know that Mass at St Joseph’s Tewkesbury is at 10am also.

Please click on the link below to find out what you might expect to be different in our church as we move forward carefully.

Stewards will continue to greet all those visiting the church and help everyone to keep safe. Social distancing will be required and every possible precaution is being taken to keep everyone safe.

Thanks to all those who have been busy cleaning, rearranging furniture and organising our church for the ‘new normal’

Please see the Newsletter for this week that gives further information about what is going on in the parish and remember to let Chris Davies know if you have anything you would like to share with others.
