Due to the reduced space in our church caused by the necessity of sitting apart at this time, it is necessary for our Coordinator Carol Baker to know who will be attending on Sundays and Thursday.

Just as importantly, would anyone who is expected and (for some reason) is not able to attend, a call or text message to Carol would be much appreciated.

Space is at a minimum and we do not wish to disappoint anyone.

Due to the current uncertainty resulting from the Covid19 situation, Masses will not recommence at Saint Michael’s Church in Bishops Cleeve for the foreseeable future.   Those wishing, and able to attend Sunday Mass, are most welcome to join the parish Mass at Saint Nicholas in Winchcombe, or if using public transport, to travel by the regular bus service to Saint Gregory’s Church in Cheltenham.  As there is currently no Sunday obligation, you are also very welcome to attend a weekday Mass either at Saint Nicholas or at Saint Gregory the Great.

David Mills, Dean

Thanks to the support of friends and parishioners, Richard Sear has raised £1,300 for CAFOD by cycling to Wales and back from his home in Tewkesbury. Appropriately, below it is not clear in the logo below whether he is wearing a cycle helmet or a halo!!!

Thanks to all who supported Richard and CAFOD at this difficult time for so many in our world.

Happily we are now open for Mass at St Nicholas. Bishop Declan has given clear guidelines for the celebration of Mass in our church, all in keeping with government advice.

It is hoped that the majority of parishioners will feel able to come either to the Sunday Mass at 11am or attend a 10am Mass on Thursdays in Winchcombe. It will be much appreciated if parishioner could indicate clearly which Mass(es) they will be attending as numbers do have to be limited to ensure all are safe. Hopefully we will shortly be able to offer extra seating in the coffee area but, if Wednesday is a better day for you, please know that Mass at St Joseph’s Tewkesbury is at 10am and the large Narthex area there enable them to have more at each service.

Please click on the link below to find out what you might expect to be different in our church as we move forward carefully.

Stewards will continue to greet all those visiting the church and help everyone to keep safe. Social distancing will be required and every possible precaution is being taken to keep everyone safe.

Thanks to all those who have been busy cleaning, rearranging furniture and organising our church for the ‘new normal’

Please see the Newsletter for this week that gives further information about what is going on in the parish and remember to let Chris Davies know if you have anything you would like to share with others.
